Join Us for "Advocacy in Healthcare"

with Rep. Stacey Abrams, Georgia House Minority Leader

Tuesday, February 7th 7:30-9:30pm
1316 North Ave. NE

The health of a man, woman, or child in the state of Georgia is just as dependent on sound healthcare policy as it is on any medicine, test, or procedure. Sadly, those practicing medicine or public health rarely speak out and make their voices heard on the important health matters that are decided every day at the state capitol. Georgia’s legislature needs to hear from you about what your patients need to be healthy. They need to hear from you about why public health is important. Most of all, they need to hear from you because Georgia’s healthcare system should be designed with the input of the people who will be practicing in it.

Join us for an evening of conversation and collaboration, joined by Georgia House Minority Leader, Rep. Stacey Abrams, member of HealthSTAT’s Board of Advisors. Together we will address issues of advocating both in your clinical practice as well as on a legislative level, tips for communicating effectively with your elected officials, and the current healthcare climate in the state of Georgia. Also learn what you can do this year to help maintain our safety net, ensure that healthcare reform has a meaningful impact, and make Georgia the kind of state where you are proud to serve as a healthcare professional.

Light refreshments will be provided. Street parking available on nearby Euclid Ave.
