“Never quench your thirst
for knowledge.”

Not all knowledge comes from the classroom. Each day, we are surrounded by a wealth of resources — our colleagues, classmates, and communities. At HealthSTAT, we believe each of these sources broadens our horizons and enriches our lives. Being an effective leader means seeking out the perspectives of others and embracing learning as a collaborative process, not just relying on lectures and textbooks.

Check out HealthSTAT’s upcoming events to find a lunchtime talk at your school. Engage with experts and explore perspectives that don’t make it in to the curriculum. Or, join your peers at one of HealthSTAT’s monthly Coffee Hours for in-depth discussion on a variety of health issues. At the annual Leadership Symposium, you can meet health professional students from across the state. Publish your original research in Context: The Journal Recognizing Student Health Professionals Engaged in Their Communities. Stay up to date with current health care news and explore student opinions on our blog.

Think we’ve missed something? Learning is a two-way street. Share your passion with your fellow students. HealthSTAT can help you organize a Coffee Hour or lunch-time talk to discuss an issue that you know is important. Contact us for more information.
