HealthSTAT is a certified 501c3 non-profit organization whose voice has been at the forefront of Georgia’s healthcare discussions for the past decade. Your donation will ensure that health professional students throughout Georgia can continue to care for, learn about, and act to promote healthcare for ALL Georgians.

An investment in HealthSTAT is an investment in education.

Our members are graduate students in disciplines ranging from physical therapy, medicine, nursing and public health to business and law. We are dedicated to our own continuing education, hosting lunchtime talks and coffee hour briefings on issues including the effects of homelessness on health as well as health challenges facing the refugee population in Georgia. We are committed to educating the community members, acting health professionals, school faculty, and local officials in addition to students as we share facts and perspectives related to health issues that affect specific communities to all Georgians. Through HealthSTAT, we create and execute community health fairs, prescription education sessions, and childhood nutrition and exercise programs to reach underserved populations. Our service gateway connects student members and their projects to the populations and organizations who need them or their services. Every year, HealthSTAT students gather in classrooms and at the state capitol to discuss the effects the policy that affects our patients. We come from various corners of the state and across multiple disciplines to advocate at the capitol on behalf of the people and populations that we serve as students and as future health professionals.
